About This Project

Construction will be starting soon on this stunning contemporary design home in Birdham. Perched above Chichester Channel, the forms and materials in the house take design cues from the semi-rural location and the traditional West Sussex vernacular. We designed and planned the building around the sun path to take advantage of natural daylight throughout the day in all areas of the house.  It is super insulated, uses a fabric first approach to environmental design, and employs active eco-technologies. There is a winter lounge that opens up onto the extended poolside terrace, and the living accommodation and master suite are arranged to take advantages of the breath-taking 180° views up and down the channel.

We love… the amazing swim-in, swim-out entrance to the pool building – who wouldn’t!
